Relay Category

For those who want to complete the challenge as a team, there is also a relay category open to teams of three. Each person competes in one discipline, for the swim, the cycle and the run. This is open for male, female & mixed teams - ideal for specialist swimmer/cyclists/runners or beginners, who would like to test themselves over a single discipline.

The event will be based from stunning setting of Leaplish Water Park on the shores of Kielder Water. Offering panoramic views of the reservoir, this is the ideal venue with event HQ, start/finish, transitions, accommodation and restaurant all situated at the one location.

1.5km Swim: Open water swim in Kielder Water, Europe's largest man made lake.

20km Off Road Cycle: The route is non-technical and undulating. Initially the bike route follows the Lakeside Way towards Bull Crag Peninsula then links in with the extensive network of forest tracks around Kielder Forest.

This will be a superb route incorporating the fantastic off road terrain in this area.

The course is suitable for both mtb & cyclo cross bikes.

10km Trail Run: The run will be off road following the shoreline of Kielder & Bull Crag Peninsula. This is a fairly flat route & the terrain is predominantely gravel trails with a few short sections on grassy forest rides.
