Rivington Night Runner
Round 3 of the Petzl Night Trail Running Race Series is our last race of the series and takes place at Rivington. Rivington has a reputation for UFO sightings.
The Rivington Night Runner Course
The huge radio masts on the top of Winter Hill acts as a magnet for all things unexplained. It seems fitting to make the last theme of the night running series a "close encounters" theme.
The night trail running race is a 10k course. The course is all on trail and in parts is very rough and uneven underfoot. Ensure you have good quality fell/trail shoes and a good quality head torch with new batteries/fully charged.
You should take your time when running and be wary of foot placement.
The course will be heavily marshalled as well as having directional signs and sticks with reflective tape on. This year we will also have mile markers and Strava segment signs along the course.
There will be a free Trail Kidz 1k night trail running event for children taking place at 6:10pm, with medals for all finishers. You will have enough time to run with your children before taking part in the 10k! There is no online registration for this event. You will need to register your child(ren) on the night at the Trail Kidz Registration Tent
