Velopace Beachy Head MTB Sportive 2016
Thought sportives were only for road cyclists? Think again! The inaugural Velopace Beachy Head MTB Sportive was a popular addition to the 2015 Eastbourne Cycling Festival - now it's back for its second year as a sure-fire highlight of the 2016 Festival.
Supported by Jamie Lynch and his crew at South East Mountain Biking, our sportive provides a challenging, 31-mile off-road route which takes in some of the South Downs' best trails and most beautiful scenery.
Starting on Eastbourne seafront at the Cycling Festival HQ, you’ll quickly hit the first climb at Upper Dukes Drive - the official start of the South Downs Way. Heading inland takes you past many of the iconic landmarks and features of the South Downs - including Butts Brow, Jevington, Long Man, Alfriston, Bo-Peep, Lullington Heath, Friston Forest and Birling Gap – before you loop back to finish on the Western Lawns.
The Velopace Beachy Head MTB Sportive is limited to only 200 entries and spaces are filling fast, so book today to guarantee your place on the start line!
