Morrisons Great Manchester Run, Manchester City Centre
Sunday, 22nd May, 2016 - £38 Per Entry
Featuring world class runners, live coverage on BBC, bands dotted around the course and an electrifying atmosphere this event has raised millions of pounds for a number over charities over the years.
Starting on Portland Street the whole course is closed off to traffic meaning all you need to worry about is having a nice run with friends or trying for that personal best! Along the route you will get some great views of Manchester United’s stadium, The Imperial War Museum and The Lowry. If you are a Coronation Street fan you will also pass those famous cobbles on the new set, then soon after you have a 47-storey skyscraper in view called The Beetham Tower, this will mean you are getting closer to the finish line to have that all important medal proudly hung around your neck.

Run for Charity
Most events now have charities sponsoring them to enable participants to raise money for a good cause or a charity close to their heart. It’s a great way to combine a big achievement of running 10k, which is no easy task, with the added support from friends and family whilst being driven by knowing the money you are raising is going to such a good cause.
